The Maine Planned Giving Council

Founded in 1995, The Maine Planned Giving Council (MPGC) is a statewide, independent, public charity created to encourage charitable giving in Maine through planned giving. The MPGC defines planned giving as any deferred or current charitable gift where the donor's objectives and circumstances are fully considered in order to provide maximum benefit to both the donor and the charity.

Led by volunteers, there are no paid staff members. The MPGC is the sole Maine chapter of the National Committee on Planned Giving.

The National Committee on Planned Giving is a nationwide, federation of 108 state and local chapters dedicated to the advancement of charitable giving through planned gifts.
