2025 Maine Planned Giving Council Conference Scholarship Eligibility Requirements

We are pleased to offer up to ten scholarships to attend the Maine Planned Giving Council Conference which includes Membership for the remainder of 2025 (if you are a Member for 2025, Membership for 2026 will apply) and free registrations at our virtual Lunch N’ Learn events made possible by our generous anonymous donor. If you are a Member of the Maine Planned Giving Council and/or already registered for the Conference you may still apply for the Scholarship if you meet the eligibility requirements.

Applicants must:
· Articulate that they would likely be unable to attend based upon the current financial situation of their organization absent the scholarship support; and
· Work within organizations that have begun or are considering developing a planned giving program in their organization.

From among those who meet the required criteria, preference will be given to applications from individuals who:
· Work for organizations that are located in Aroostook, Franklin, Northern Penobscot, Piscataquis, Somerset, or Washington Counties; or
· Work for organizations that serve underrepresented populations and/or economically disadvantaged communities.

Applications are judged by a committee and MPGC reserves the sole discretion in making scholarship awards, applying criteria, and determining the number and funding of such awards. Scholarships are awarded to the individual applicant and are not transferable. Should a grantee leave the profession or disqualify before the Conference, MPGC reserves the right to award the scholarship to another individual from the current pool of qualifying applicants. Scholarship Application deadline 7/31/2025.
